About Meyer Architects

Martin Meyer founded Meyer Architects in 2006. He finished his studies of architecture in Berlin at the time when the wall came down.

So for more than twenty years he was involved in the making of architecture and acquired great experience during this time. He designed railway stations, commercial buildings, schools and hospitals. He now focuses on individual solutions for private clients.

Coming from this German background he is at home in two “worlds”. German building technology and energy efficient design has always been a part of his philosophy. He also has good knowledge of the latest building products and occasionally sources German products if local products do not suit his ambitions.

Part of the scope of work of German architects is quantity surveying and building site management.

Martin has not only designed but financially and technically supervised various buildings. This gives him great confidence to deal with any kind of difficulties that might arise in the complex environment of building a house. Martin is a member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects since 1993 and a member of the RIAI since 2006.

He was one of the first Architects in Ireland to register with the state “Sustainable Energy Agency Ireland” as Building Energy Rating Assessor.
